5 weeks to go

happy easter from the clawback commitee

Nancy has asked me to do this weekly update to provide a step-by-step guide to attending the AGM, but I regret I’m still obtaining explicit information from HSBC to avoid any issues on the day!

In the meantime, can I say I’m delighted many of you have indicated to Nancy that you will be coming to the Intercontinental at the O2 to protest. (Hopefully we’ll make an even bigger impact, than when we had that protest in Birmingham before the Covid era).

Hopefully, if you’re attending the protest outside, you’ll want to also come into the AGM itself and hear what they have to say, possibly ask a question and at the end enjoy the light refreshments they provide

Anyway, getting in requires you to be a shareholder, but we can provide proxy forms if you are not a shareholder to achieve this.

Steve Bradbury a long term committee member has offered to split up his holding into 1 share proxies for as many as need them! He just needs your contact and details to get all the necessary paperwork done. So please let us know if you would like to come into the AGM and need a proxy.

Whereas, if you are a shareholder already and have “paper shares” you should have received voting papers. (various Facebook pots already refer, including the audacity to highlight how they want you to vote)

However, if you hold your shares via a nominee you need to contact that nominee EG Invest Direct. As they don’t proactively contact you. You can contact them on 03456 080 8484

That needs urgent action as it’s unclear how long they’ll take to send you a letter confirming you are a bona-fide shareholder wanting to attend, Nancy tells me she was told “6 working days”, although I regret the person I exchanged messages with was not that explicit. I’ll update further after Easter when it becomes clearer.

Apart from a form showing you are entitled to attend, YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO HAVE PHOTO ID.

I’m in contact with Lee Davis, Head of Shareholder Governance at HSBC and he has promised to get Computershare to provide a bullet point guide for attending the AGM but that is still awaited and will no doubt be after Easter.

PLEASE NOTE THE ADVICE FROM HSBC IS BIASED, PLEASE DO NOT VOTE AS THEY HAVE HIGHLIGHTED (IE AGAINST OUR RESOLUTION), PLEASE ALSO DO NOT AUTHORISE THE CHAIRMAN YO VOTE ON YOUR BEHALF!!!

See you May 3rd,
