FACT: The Longer you Worked the More They Take. How can that be right

FACT: State Deduction (Clawback) has no alignment to salary earned.

FACT: HSBC have demonstrated that they are happy to treat their pensioners with distain and disrespect.

FACT: We KNOW the TRUTH concerning State Deduction.

FACT: The Bank have and are still using the WHOLLYINAPPROPRIATE TERM of STATE DEDUCTION.

Why else would we be where we are today

So here’s a question we need to ask you – Are you standing with us?

The Committee are asking for one day of your time. I see and read your disappointment, anger and your frustration on Facebook.

BUT ‘Those That Matter’ are not seeing or hearing you!

NOW YOU HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO CHANGE THE STATUS QUO

This week I got to thinking about the Committee and why they are prepared to give freely of their time and to continue to fight for fairness and equality and this is what they said:

  • COLIN DENNY What motivates me is challenging the lie that it was “clearly & consistently communicated”, especially when those saying that weren’t there!
  • ROGER GEORGE It is just unfair and penalises the lowest paid the most, but they are the very people the senior managers relied on.
  • NEIL BALLANTYNE To oppose the unfairness of state deduction and highlight the callous arrogance of senior management who show no evidence of valuing pensioners and their contributions to HSBC.
  • SHIRLEY EIDMAN The secrecy and unfairness of the Clawback situation really bothers and upsets me!
  • WAYNE FINCH The top bosses who make the decisions get richer and richer and the Pensioners get poorer nd poorer because of Clawback and below inflation rises, even though the Trustees asked for a larger increase this year!
  • PETER CLARE It grieves me to think they promised a 2/3rds final salary pension and are now reneging on it and refuse to listen to us when the post 74 pension scheme is one of many and the others are not penalised!…
  • For MYSELF It is the injustice of Clawback. When the bank became aware of the confusion amongst the scheme members they took no responsibilty. I will not stand by or be silenced and watch as my former colleagues are plunged into financial hardship through no fault of their own. I’m not a quitter. I won’t be silenced simply because I KNOW THE TRUTH

Then when I receive an email like this I know I’m not wasting my precious time:

Why is it folks don’t realise that power is with people?

What would have happened if Nelson Mandela had been apathetic and not bothered to challenge apartheid??

Yet he did it, because the moral argument was there. He was in the right and was therefore always going to be proved right. It is not complicated. It just takes energy and drive.

Honestly, I wish I still had shares and could stand up in front of those people. Tell them my story – started in 1977, retired 3 days before the AGM on 3 May after 46 years without putting a foot wrong and with 100% exemplary appraisals, always over-performing.

Do I really deserve clawback, particularly as I am actually penalised for working as long as I have? They will take the maximum off me!! I am a pretty strong argument in our favour -but have no shares.

I am very happy to be used as an example or to speak to any press outside the meeting. I am not afraid of anyone, as I have no reason to be. I speak the truth!!

See you May 3rd,
Nancy
